How many times have you been a patient in hospital?
I’m having a lot of back and forth with this question. I’d think of a procedure then remember it was outpatient or I’d think about times I’ve gone to the emergency room then realize I was always discharged without being held overnight. People, I will say right up front that my health status has always felt very much in flux yet it’s equally true that the only significant time I’ve spent in hospitals has been while caring for the person who was the patient.
Did you notice any differences with your experiences?
…
On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being good and 1 being poor, how would you rate food choices, and separately on the same scale, quality?
…
How long were you in for?
…
Gratitude:
I’m stunned beyond words to see I’m unable to answer the questions this week. I swear at 53 I’ve careened through life like a roller coaster and it turns out my roller coaster somehow hasn’t involved a stay in the hospital. Who knew.

That’s definitely a good thing, but you have had other trials to endure.

It’s such a strange sensation. I’ve never thought of myself as lucky as far as health goes.

Yes it’s only when we think out the details that we realize certain things
