Have you ever lied about your age?

I’m sure I have. Best I can recall that was in my younger days when adding a couple of years to my age seemed helpful. I’d argue now it wasn’t. Nobody benefits from a 15-year-old acting like she’s grown.

Is there any time in your life you would like to relive?

I believe my answer to this one is best summed up by a hearty hell no. I read this as that science fiction-y, go back in time scenario. While there are important moments or periods I fondly remember, I wouldn’t want to relive them. I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

Do you own any antiques?

We’re less “fancy antique owning people” and more “where’s that family piece again?” folks. There’s a china cabinet from my husband’s family in our dining room that is heavier than a freaking tree. It was damaged in a move and the way we raised holy hell to repair and restore it — well, that’s a whole story in and of itself. My grandmother’s bookshelf is in a room downstairs. The glass doors slide up and back to reveal each shelf but I hesitate to mess with it because I’m pretty sure we’d be SOL if anything went wrong.

Would you like to know some of the history of places you’ve visited?

Does anyone answer no to this question? Of course I would. Knowledge is power, am I right? Precision demands I add I want to want to know some of the history of places I’ve visited. It’s jumping past wanting to want to know and into actually gathering knowledge that flummoxes me.

Gratitude:

Bright green leaves, Spotify playlists, warm-not-hot weather, and lightly rainy days that don’t turn the yard into a mud walk for Gracie.
