Do you prefer a bath or shower?

Conceptually, I like the idea of a bath, but in real life I prefer a shower.

What do you do to make a living or during the day? If you are retired what mostly occupies your day? Or if you are a student what are you studying?

I guess you’d say I’m in the middle stage of life.  I’m a stay at home mom, but my kids are in middle school and much more self-sufficient now (thank heavens).  These days I split my time between volunteering at the elementary school, blogging, taxi service for my non-driving kiddos, master schedule keeper, and a lot of health related stuff.

Is there a stuffed animal in your bedroom?

Actually, yes.  A few years ago Bear gave me a dangling purple monkey to hang on my bed.  It lives in my nightstand drawer now because, well, having that thing dangling over my pillow sort of freaked me out.  But she knows it’s always within reach, so Bear’s okay with the relocation.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. 

I particularly appreciated one thing in particular about church this week.  One of our members built our new altar last fall, and it’s this gorgeous combination of woods that are different colors and come from around the world.  I can’t help but be inspired when I think about how many hours of service he put into that single element of our service.  It’s the perfect example of using the gifts God gives you in praise and worship.
