1.  It’s Friday afternoon and the post still isn’t up.

2.  Let’s play 40 things, speed round.

3.  We went to Atlanta last weekend.

4.  Not a huge fan of the drive but hey, physics gonna phsyic every time.

5.  That’s the right branch of math, isn’t it?

6.  If we want the drive to Atlanta to be shorter then I guess we’d have to move, y’know, closer. To Atlanta.

7.  So there we are.

8.  We learned what time to *not* leave on a Friday, that’s for sure.

9.  A standard five hour drive is daunting; a six hour drive on a Friday afternoon isn’t great news.

10.  But when that rolls into an eight hour drive filled with accidents and traffic jams…well, words were said.

11.  Oh! Hey! Guess what they have in Atlanta?

12.  Hell Yeah Gluten Free.

13.  Their tagline reads “gluten free doesn’t have to suck”.

14.  You know where gluten free doesn’t suck?

15.  AT HELL YEAH!

16.  It’s a small bakery that’s dedicated gluten free so you know anything made in their space won’t have any trace of gluten.

17.  I lean toward the donut display because – well, because DONUTS, man.

18.  Those were tough to give up when I lost my gluten privileges.

19.  When we popped in over the weekend I left with strawberry, cookies and cream, and funfetti donuts.

20.  Yes, three.

21.  Don’t judge.

22.  It’s also not lost on me that all three sound like cupcake flavors.

23.  I’ll say again, don’t judge.

24.  Those donuts were delicious.

25.  So freaking sweet they made my teeth hurt but so very yummy.

26.  Also lasted three days because it turned out I only wanted one a day.

27.  So in the end a win all around.

28.  A whole prom group ate where we had dinner on Saturday.

29.  They’d reserved the patio and fixed their plates from a buffet. Smart kids.

30.  BrightSide and I had a table on the window so it was great people watching for us.

31.  That group had some couples dressed to the nines and others who dressed down.

32. A few were clearly on dates while others looked like friend groups.

33.  More than a few girls wore sneakers with their dresses and I cannot emphasize enough how much I needed that trend when I went to prom.

34.  I guess what I liked most was how diverse the kids were.

35.  Not racially – they were a seriously white group of teens – but as far as personality goes they ran the gamut.

36.  People watching at its finest

37.  On the walk back to our hotel we passed a prom venue where teens dressed to the nines were piling out of cars.

38.  Kids everywhere having a blast in the city on a Saturday night.

39.  I mean I’m betting someone somewhere was dealing with drama because, well, teens.

40.  But they sure looked pretty.
