Have you ever roller skated?

I’ve skated as a kid, teenager, and adult. Getting back on skates as an adult was a strange experience. The rush of wind by my face as I rolled around the rink felt instantly familiar and the momentum of taking the turn brought back that chest clutching am I gonna hit the wall sensation.

Have you ever ridden a horse (or donkey)?

I’ve ridden horses a few times. They’re pretty calming animals but they respond to energy. Say, for example, if you’re panicky about getting your horse situated to leave with a group…well, they tend to match energy if you’re frantic. Just saying.

What was your favourite ride at a fun fair?

I will sound like the biggest fuddy duddy on the planet but I don’t think I have one. I have the vaguest memory of liking the aerial swings as a kid but as an adult I’m painfully aware of how quickly those fairs go up and down as they move towns. In the U.S. anyway. Plus there’s my whole motion sickness thing. See? Fuddy duddy.

Choice of fun fair prizes:
coconut, cuddly toy, £10/$10 cash prize

I’m fascinated by this question. A coconut? In the U.S. I’ve mainly seen small cuddly toys.

Gratitude:

Peaceful kitty and Gracie moments, functional internet access, and college kids who are leading the way.
