Can you speak a second language?
Not in any meaningful way. I have a smattering of Spanish in my arsonal along with a dash of Italian and a smidge of French. I even know a bit of sign language. I’d love to get fluent in one of those someday.
As a child, what did you find easier, climbing a rope or climbing a tree?
Climbing a tree for sure. Better weight distribution and I’m able to use my legs. Climbing a rope is all upper body strength and I’ll flat out say it — my arms aren’t my strongest feature. Ahem.
Did you prefer maths or science at school?
Whoa, maths or science? I’ve got to pick one of those? I can’t say I loved either but I guess I’d have to say…math. Marginally.
How would you describe your sense of humour?
Dry, sharp, ironic, occasionally twisted, highly personal, sometimes offensive, filled with inappropriate snorts at inconvenient times.
Gratitude:
Warm banana bread, fresh strawberry cobbler, 70 degree days in May/June, decent water pressure, and a left foot that can wear my Clarks flip flops again.

Maths or Science? What a question. I choose lunch. The rope climb was always a groaner. Grateful that I can still get a fork to my mouth and glass to my lips. Super answers, Laura.

Thank you, John. Lunch does indeed sound like a solid option. As introverted as I was I still think lunch period ranked higher for me than either maths or science.

Ok…
1. No. Not unless you count gibberish
2. Trees. Ropes are definitely for descent only
3. Lousy at both, but less prone to self-harm with maths
4. Elusive
5. Whisky, wine, chocolate and people who are prepared to put up with me…

These are some excellent answers. I actually would argue that gibberish in the right circumstances would absolutely count as a second language. I love your gratitude list 🙂

Gibberish would be my specialist subject on Mastermind… and I’m being grateful right now 😜
