How gently he put forth a powerful truth…This message you passed on here is in sync with the ‘mantra’ that’s been ringing in the back of my mind for years…”Politics is not my identity”. It never has been…it’s a part of life & the tools we have in navigating walking alongside our diverse & vibrant fellow Americans, but not the 100% essence of our society or individual selves. The imposed focus on politicalization of all facets of living is a major contributor to the myopic polarization of our population. It’s up to us – to live with character, integrity; to stand up to ‘power’ knowing in time, our own ‘power’ will triumph…not politics, not the rich, but us as everyday people. Sorry, too long, but I’m sure you ‘get’ it! 🙂

No apologies, your thoughts are worth having the space. I’ve found myself in an interesting transition over the last few years. From the outside I may still sound like my 20s self, all democrat all day long. I understand now that I fight for liberation for all and everyone’s individual experience with freedom makes literally everything political.
I liked this clip because it was an effective way to shake my shoulders and holler SNAP OUT OF IT, don’t stand frozen in the high beams while things spiral. I love your read that our everyday people power will triumph in time. 💛
