What was the last book you read?
I’m currently reading Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall.
Do you think movies are better or worse than the books they are based on?
There are plenty of book-based movies I’ve loved but it always came back to “but the book was better.” I just think it’s challenging to take a book with multiple subplots and condense it into a coherent piece of visual medium.
What is the most memorable movie soundtrack or theme to you?
What’s hilarious is the first thing that popped into my head is Chariots of Fire. Have I seen it? Nope, but that theme song leapt into my head and I guess that’s the whole point of this question.
Did you enjoy the old musicals (Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Howard Keel, Doris Day etc)
I want to answer no but to be fair I haven’t watched them. My answer is based on the fact that seeing clips never made me want to watch the whole musical.
Gratitude:
Ugg boots in cool weather, my electric blanket, sweet kitties, and old t-shirts that are perfectly broken in.

Chariots of Fire would be worth a watch if you get a chance

Thanks for joining in Laura. Chariots of Fire is a memorable sound track.
Know what you mean about ‘broken in’ tee shirts!

Broken in tees that get too ratty for errands are a real win/lose situation. They become wonderful sleep shirts, but then I have to start breaking in new tee shirts and that takes forever!

It’s nice to share them. We’re having a tiny cold snap (which I’m sure isn’t cold to people from truly cold areas) but knowing NC we’ll be back up to 70 before you know it. 🤣

Chariots of Fire came to mind when I read the question. I did see it and enjoyed it. I enjoyed your answers, Laura.

I never even saw that movie, which I think speaks even more to the power of the song. Funny how those things stick.
