Snow?
Sleet?
Ice?
Not that ICE, the ice from the sky ice.
We’re counting down into what social media is calling Snowmageddon 2026, but I live in North Carolina. We have so much ice headed our way.
Again, the ice from the sky ice. The other one is kicking around our state, but this weekend we’re also focused on the impending storm.
I don’t think we’ve ever been a big snow location but we’ve had our fair share of pretty winter weather. Over the last 10 or 15 years though there’s been a steady shift into becoming what’s best described as an ice belt.
Other people get big white flakes that make Christmas card worthy scenes…we get gray, slick, dangerous skies in a state without the proper equipment to pretreat roads then handle winter weather emergencies.
Hope everyone who has this coming their way is prepared for at least several days of cold snap. Stay warm, stay safe. I look forward to seeing everybody else’s pretty snow photos.
Stay warm, stay inside drinking coffee.❤️

Be safe in this unforgiving weather Laura. Bundle up tight with your love and a hot chocolate. Praying your electricty stays on and Ice melt can be found.

It’s all coming here where we are in TX too. I hate winter weather. Snow/ice is supposed to start at 3, so they say. Keep warm and safe! 🙂
