Smooth sailing, smooth as glass, smooth operator, smooth talker…
Smooth peanut butter — does anyone actually love the chunky kind? — silky smooth, smooth as silk, so smooth it’s groovy…
Some say take the road less traveled. Not a bad plan really, but not one you should embrace without…
aw crap, the metaphor just fell apart because I was thinking “without having some decent shocks because the bumps could get bumpy” except if it’s the road less traveled then wouldn’t it be smooth? No ruts because the masses haven’t worn their patterns into the path, or at the very least fewer ruts than a road traveled by the hordes.
So maybe in the end taking the road less traveled leads to that smooth(er) sailing.
And that’s the end of that for today.
I do not believe I’ve made my high school English teacher particularly proud with this one. Good grief.
Linda hosts Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This week’s prompt is “smooth.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Me, I love chunky peanut butter, and so does my husband – I don’t like the mouth-feel of the smooth stuff! My father-in-law used to make his own really rich-coloured peanut butter with deep-roasted peanuts and it always had crunchy chunks of peanuts in it – yum!
