“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
– Albert Einstein
I know there are those who believe what you see is what you get. The world, as it is, simply is. Nothing more, nothing less.
But when I look around, I see wonder everywhere.
Warm, golden light piercing a cloud, splaying its fingers across the sky.
A child’s smile as he streaks across the yard on a warm spring day.
Shimmering light dancing across a lake, drawing designs in the ripples.
The soft scent of honeysuckle carried on an unexpected breeze.
When I choose to be still and listen to the world around me – truly listen, with more than just my ears – I hear the melody of the season. Bird chatter becomes music, thunder rumbles like distant drums.
I choose to see the miracles.

I love that quote, and your pictures are beautifully serene. 😊

Thank you, Tonya. These are ones that always slow me down, you know? The lake tends to do that. 🙂

I believe it’s good for the soul. I think we have to go inside ourselves and become still occasionally to be our best selves. The lake looks like the perfect spot for recharging. 🌸

This is beautiful, Laura, and I love the message – that choice is ours, and it’s up to us to see the beauty in everything. Great quote!

Thanks, Gen! I should probably write it down and tape it to my mirror so I see it every morning… 🙂
