Please tell me you all sang that along with me. Need some accompaniment? Here ya go.
Monday, Monday by The Mama’s and the Papa’s
Are we all on the same page now? Cool, cool, moving on.
You ever have one of those weekends that feels both remarkably empty and undeniably full? I mean I didn’t have any outside-the-house obligations so there was no “what outside clothes will I wear” angst but still…it felt busy. Ish. It felt busy-ish.
We managed to change batteries in all the alert devices in our house. As in the HEY SOMETHING’S ON FIRE detectors and HEY YOU’RE BREATHING IN TOXIC FUMES AND DON’T KNOW IT alarms. I wish I could say we remembered this little annual task without one of said devices doing that shrieky beep that used to drive Phoebe up a wall but I’d be lying. Either way they’re all refreshed now so we’re good.
This reminds me of that time our smoke detectors brought the police to our porch. Good times. Side note: Anyone else notice how freaking expensive batteries have gotten? Sheesh.
I also finally folded those clean clothes I’ve been staring at for several days. Now if I can just manage to get this sheet back onto the spare bed tomorrow we’ll be winning at laundry.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Phew, that’s a good one.
Not heard that song in ages, now I won’t be able to stop signing it now.

I live in a condo and often set them off when cooking, I’m sure my neighbors are thrilled

Right? I feel like the threshold for cooking vs. actual fire should be distinct enough that the smoke detectors could tell the difference.
