What season are you in where you live, and what time is it?
Right now it’s 10:30am. It’s springtime which in North Carolina we also call that season when everyone’s car is Pollen Yellow and you don’t dare sit on an outdoor surface or you’ll drag all that pollen crap onto your couch. Bless it.
What is your favourite season of the year?
Despite my moany-groanies I do love spring. The leaves come back in, flowers bloom, and the birds and bunnies get active. All the pretty things. That being said POLLEN IS THE DEVIL so autumn runs neck and neck for my affections.
Irony of ironies, I never experienced allergy trouble in the fall until we moved to North Carolina. There is always something problematic blooming in this freaking state.
Can you ski or ice skate?
I can…or, more accurately, I used to be able to. I have no idea what would happen if I strapped ice skates to my feet these days.
When was the last time you built a snowman?
I’m not a Do you wanna build a snowmannnnn kind of girl. I can get on board with singing along to a soundtrack but rolling up giant balls of frozen precipitation as my toes go numb? Not so much. Which means the last time I built a snowman was at least twelve years ago, maybe more. These days I’m more sip coffee and gaze serenely out the picture window at the pretty pretty flakes.
Gratitude:
Bright eyes, bushy tails, and lovey demeanors in the cats. Ironically I can even get on board with demon spawn zoomies as long as no blood’s drawn.

I, too, never had such allergy problems till moving here in SC…just sayin’…
As for what you graciously call “Pollen Yellow” I call ‘Green Gunk Season’ because it also forms a hard barrier to wash off if left on the car too long. Ours is over for now and I’m enjoying the brief ability to sit outside without humidity constraints & enjoy the sunny, cooler days before it turns into the typical SC oppressive humid-hot summer! 😎

Oh yes, SC is a special sort of something. We visited Clemson last year and something there triggered an allergy that made me miserable for days. 😩 So beautiful though. Enjoy your sunny days while you can!

I don’t suffer from allergies, but I prefer autumn to spring, but perhaps by a small margin. Pollen does tend to change the color of everything.

It does. We all just accept a month of gross film over everything but it’s a lot.

I don’t remember loving fall when I was younger but I have a real appreciation now for when it gets cool enough for pants but not freezing enough for winter coats. 🙂

Thank you. They’re fun to look back on — it’s much sweeter now that I’m not freezing. 😂
