“NEW YORK — Acceding to President Donald Trump’s demands, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday that she has ordered a top federal prosecutor to investigate sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to Trump political foes, including former President Bill Clinton.
Bondi posted on X that she was assigning Manhattan U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to lead the probe, capping an eventful week in which congressional Republicans released nearly 23,000 pages of documents from Epstein’s estate and House Democrats seized on emails mentioning Trump.
Trump, who was friends with Epstein for years, didn’t explain what supposed crimes he wanted the Justice Department to investigate. None of the men he mentioned in a social media post demanding the probe has been accused of sexual misconduct by any of Epstein’s victims.”

You know who I’d like to see investigated for ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein? People who have been identified as having ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
If you prey on children of any age I would like you investigated. (And Megyn Kelly can kiss my ass with her parsing out abuse victims with “There’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?”) I cannot emphasize strongly enough how little I care about political leanings in this area.
As a self-proclaimed “President of law and order” I find it telling — though not surprising — that Trump would demand these crimes only be investigated for certain predators. I find it reprehensible — though again, not surprising — that anyone might agree with this. Justice for some, but only those victimized by predators Trump considers political foes?
Doesn’t feel very law and order to me.
It just feels like with politicians actively involved in law and order, what ever happens will be tainted process, about power rather than the victims

The current version of law and order is not at all orderly and law is only as defined by the regime in office right now. It is all very sad, and there are a whole lot of people in office that are going to have to deal with their choices later in life. Except I doubt they have consciences, so they probably won’t give it a second thought. Who would have ever thought this country would elect a mad man as president?

And that they’d do it twice. I can’t help but wonder (if we make it through to the other side) what the history books will look like in 100 years.

It really is. There’s so much going on here. He finally reversed course and is supposedly encouraging republicans to vote to release the files. Maybe we’ll have movement there.
