I’m exhausted. I was up too late listening to a voice that makes me apoplectic and as a result got questionable sleep after a few rough starts. I’ll never stop being irritated at the simplicity of “lie down, turn off the lights, turn off your brain, and go to sleep — how hard can it be??” when none of those steps typically work like that in my world.

Sigh.

Today’s one-liner is gonna be what’s renewing my faith. I’m skipping the Trump phone call leading up to the offer.

“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite, I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”

In an uplifting twist of hey, the support IS out there a number of major brands have stepped forward to contribute to the Vegas celebration. Flavor Flav has since expanded his party to include every woman medalist from both the Olympic and ParaOlympic teams. Dinners, a parade, a concert, meals and celebrations and joy for women excellence.

In 2024 Flav sponsored the US Women’s Water Polo team and showed up the whole time for their competitions. He did the same for this year’s Bobsled and Skeleton team. He has a complicated past but the last few years have had him using his spotlight to help athletes reach their goals.
