Occasionally I have the urge to gab about some of the things in my life that make me super proud.  I suspect this will be a pretty eclectic list.  Prepare yourselves for a lot of randomness you may or may not have known about me and my life.

** I did not raise my voice with the kids today.  Not one single time, and considering it’s a non-school day I find that pretty damn noteworthy.

** My brother is publishing his second book this fall and I am a super-proud-sister.  He even has an Author Page on Amazon — how wicked cool is that?!

** T-man can do almost any flip known to man off the diving board, and he’s almost mastered a running front flip on land.  He is fearless.

** It’s 9:30 at night and Gracie hasn’t stolen a single thing today.  We must record the date for prosperity.

"They were delicious."
“They think I didn’t steal anything. They just didn’t catch me at it.”

** It’s 9:30 at night and, despite desperately craving a snack, I refuse to get one.  Baby steps.

** BrightSide grilled out tonight and dinner was fabulous.  He’s a grill master, just like his dad.  The steak, burgers, and shish-ka-bobs were all delicious, and the kids loved eating out on the patio.

** My oldest niece (and goddaughter) will be graduating high school next month.  I’m so proud of how far she’s come and look forward to seeing where her life takes her.

** I’m thrilled that Bear has gone from being a 3rd grader who started the year saying she was terrible at math to a rising 4th grader who loves and excels at the subject.

** We actually managed to take a family picture last weekend in which everyone a) was looking at the camera, b) had their eyes open, and c) sported a genuine smile.  It’s an almost-summer miracle.

** Phoebe came to us almost one and a half years ago a scared dog who didn’t trust anyone.  She’s grown into a sweet, loving, snuggle bunny who wants nothing more than to be cuddled.  All. Day. Long.
