If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
Generally speaking I would always pick cleaning from this list, but I’m changing my diet (not to be confused with going on a diet) and having someone help with cooking the right stuff would go a long way toward simplifying my life.
If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?
1) The comfy overstuffed chairs in our bedroom. I can’t say I use them often – maybe it’s an out of sight, out of mind thing or maybe I’m just forgetful – but when I curl up in one it’s like a big soft hug.
2) Our coffee table. It’s just the right blend of funky and traditional to make both BrightSide and I happy, which is pretty impressive when you think about it.
3) Our bathroom. I’m not afraid to admit it: I am in love with my bathroom. I love the space, I love the colors, I love my shower (I really love our shower). It’s become a very peaceful place.
What calms you down?
It depends on what’s spun me up. Music. Going for a walk. Petting the dog. Drinking a cup of coffee or tea. Closing my eyes and centering my breath.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
We hosted my family’s Christmas gathering at our house yesterday and it was simply wonderful. Our youngest niece just turned one, and watching her with my brother and sister-in-law brought back such precious memories. Each part of my family, from niece to sibling to parent, is a unique piece in this patchwork quilt we’re making, and few things bring me as much joy as watching everyone enjoy themselves when we gather.
Cee’s Share Your World drops on Mondays. What’s happening in your world today?

I love the idea of a big squishy chair hug! I don’t have space for a hugging chair in my bedroom. We used to have a HUGE bedroom and we never once used the chairs we had in there. I like to think of you actually using yours. Use it more. 🙂

That’s my problem too. Since Mister retired he’s gotten to be a pretty good cook though and helps out.
