1. I don’t watch Game of Thrones. Yeah. I said it. I can’t get for deported for this, right?
2. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge you your Sunday night GoT fix. I just have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about when you’re all in the feels about this shit storm of a final season. Sorry not sorry, but this sounds like perfect fodder for a post.
3. Who the hell is Daenerys and what’s up with the madness and murder thing? Not like I have an opinion but people seem pretty up in arms about this particular character.
4. So it turns out there’s an iron throne. Whoops – Iron Throne, capitalized. Where is it? Can anyone sit there? Do you have to fight to win it? Is there a Golden Throne, too?
5. Dragons? Really? My last dragon encounter was with How to Train Your Dragon but I’m pretty sure these are less charming.
6. Speaking of Dany, what the what with that eating the raw horse heart thing? I mean, ewwww. It’s like a Survivor episode from hell during sweeps week.
7. My heart actually hurts for folks locked into this series who miss an episode, flake out, and stumble into social media only to learn their favorite character was beheaded in the episode waiting on their dvr. If that’s not enough to drive you postal, I don’t know what is.
8. Listen, I just caught the briefest description on an NPR story but all it took was hearing “graphic” and “castration” for me to know that this show is NOWHERE on my watchlist.
9. Is it weird that I hear Game of Thrones in my head like “WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE!!”? It’s not just me, right?
10. And what seems to be this week’s general consensus after the series finale:
I loved every minute of it, in entirety, even watched some episodes twice. But your post is still good and funneh 🙂

High praise from a GoT fan. And if we’re totally honest here, you understood this post on a level I STILL don’t know. 😆

:::quietly raises hand in this hostile crowd::: I watch it. I love it. Read the books. I am normally I mild geek on the 1-10 Geek Scale, like maybe a 5. Except for GOT. Honestly, if I had the money I’d buy the books ABOUT the books! (I can no longer make fun of the true geek I know who can read, write and speak Tolkien Elvish.) I read the reviews of this season and see how many hated it, and agree with the reasons. I read the reviews of this season and see how many understood it, and agree with the reasons. I’m not outraged or incensed. And yeah, now that you mention it, it was kinda like Survivor, only no one got “voted” off. It was a little more permanent than that.

I don’t watch it either! But my sister does and was SO disappointed with the ending… I can totally understand a crappy season finale, I’m a huge Walking Dead fan. But I don’t think I’ve experienced a bad end of show finale… I’m sure it does suck to invest all that time and energy and then end dissapointed. At least in Walking Dead, I know I juts have to wait a few months for them to get their crap back together.

Yeah, series finales are a big gamble. They either go really right or really really wrong. Walking Dead is another one I never got sucked into — I’m starting to wonder what I’ve been watching the last few years!

Lol, yes… what do you watch? I find it really hard to get wrapped up in series, so I’m not watching much anymore. Just like a few things here and there on Amazon or Netflix. Nothing good enough to binge on and get sucked in hook, line and sinker.👎🏻

I’m big on Amazon and Netflix, too. The only network show I actively watch is This Is Us — everything else is stuff on demand. Netflix has an original series called Atypical that’s awesome; it’s also where I get my West Wing fix. 😉 Amazon has the originals Sneaky Pete and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — both are totally binge worthy.

I watch This Is Us too, besides Walking Dead it’s probably the only other network work I get into. I loved the first season of Maisel! I still need to dive into the second season… Sneaky Pete was good too! I think I forgot about it though, lol, I think I need to refresh my list. See what I have going on in there.👌🏻

This made me smile. Even in Yorkshire it’s all GOT talk. Seen one episode but turned off when I found out the only character I warmed to (another Yorkie) woukd snugg it soon – almost as quickly as he did in Lord of the Rings.

Man, I hate it when they kill off my favorite characters!!

Gone inside series one. That’s harsh.

We might have seen one episode, which looks like it was mostly killing and screwing.

If you’re deported, I’ll be right there with you. I tend to stay away from shows that others are obsessed with – other than This Is Us – and I don’t care much for costume dramas. Or whatever they’re called.

Oh! This Is Us!! I had to avoid all updates because we fell behind during the move. 💛💛💛 that show!!

Lol, I didn’t watch the show either. I did tune in last night with twitter open on my laptop. I was amused by the twitter freakout.

Freak out is a good description. My favorite was a gif of Kermit pounding furiously on a typewriter with “people canceling their HBO subscriptions after GOT finale”. 😆

I don’t watch violence-based entertainment. It is not entertainment nor is educational. Therefore I’ve not seen GoT and will be so happy when it’s all over & people shut up about it. Now I’m all about Annalise…

I used to watch more of it – a lot of crime based stuff like Law & Order, Criminal Minds, etc – but I find my mind’s clearer without those visuals. I’ll be happy to move past “Do you watch?” conversation starters where people look at me like a crazy person when I say no. 😆

I don’t watch. I rarely watch series shows. I share some of your questions. I might cringe a bit more about the graphic thing.

Yep. That one, a beheading, eyes coming out of a head in one gross way or another – nope, nope, nope.

I’m on Team NotWatch. Squeamish, me. And when I heard GoT was presented by the team who did Lost, I was like, Oh, HELL, no. The wrapup was bound to be like that GIF above. But imagine the fanfic. The fanfic must be a cottage industry already!

Yeah, didn’t watch Lost either. Sometimes I’m completely out of touch with pop culture. 😉

I watched all of it and read 4 of the books. (Dance of Dragons is in my TBR pile.) Enjoyed the whole thing with some criticism of this last season, but nowhere near the nutty whining I’ve seen from others. I don’t make a show my LIFE! I hope it all dies down soon and people find a new obsession I can ignore.

Yeah, people are kind of up in arms. Heard people love the books, too, & can’t wait for the final two to be finished.
