Except I know you guys are fine. It’s me. I’m all jacked up on this news cycle and can’t get my mind right. So we’re gonna take a little time out today, try to shake this overwhelming sense of doom and start fresh tomorrow. Peace and love and potato chips, y’all.
See how I’m sitting here reading blogs instead of holed-up in front of MSNBC? That’s how I’m breathing. When I read your title, I thought, “No, more like Kermit flail” but now I’m breathing. Thank you.

Funny how my watch always seems to know when it chirps my “Breathe!” reminder…

Both countries have gone mad. I’m hiding behind the sofa with a bag of crisps.

And absolutely nobody blames you. Has your area gone back into lockdown again? So so scary.

Country is supposed to be but the roads and shops are just as busy. The hospitals are just about collapsing under the numbers.

I’m usually the same. Somehow after two days of raging online I couldn’t focus my thoughts. It was weird.

chips, wine, chocolate. They all help. I’m too old to wish time away, but boy am I wishing it would be Inauguration Day and that we’ve come through it without bloodshed.

At this point I’m starting to wonder how much we can let our guard down even after the Inauguration. It’s discouraging.

I agree. Chips are good. Read this if you have time. https://athingirl.com/2021/01/10/did-you-know-4/ Gives a historical context that makes the insurrectionist punks seem insignificant.

Thanks for sharing that, John. It was a really great post on the history of that space. I only hope I’ll be able to stand in it one day.

We all should hope the same, Laura.

This is a difficult time. There’s so much to process. Chips will help.
Take care.

So funny because I just put the chips and dip back up. I’ll never be accused of not knowing what my comfort food is. 😆

I am feeling that same sense of doom. It’s eating away at me.
