Y’all. The last few days have been a whole thing.
I had a lovely cup of coffee Thursday morning only to walk through the kitchen later that day to find water on the counter. I thought someone had spilled refilling the reservoir. That was a pipe dream, though, because when I looked under the machine I found an enormous puddle spreading as I stood there.
Basically our coffee maker bled out on the counter. It was tragic. Cue 48 hours of hyperfixation on coffee maker research.
Typically someone would just replace their appliance with an identical one and keep it moving. Someone else might google good coffee makers and purchase the one with the best reviews. I’m starting to consider myself a little neuro-spicy, though, which means I research almost everything.
Coffee makers, indoor grills, cat trees, air purifiers — you name it, I’ve googled it then googled again for good measure. Repeat ad nauseam. Do I know what this is about? Not really, but I repeat the pattern for almost every major(ish) purchase now.
That’s a post for another day. Wondering about that coffee maker? I managed to wrap research up on Saturday then had a new one in by Sunday evening. I had the most glorious cup of hazelnut coffee this morning.
Ahhhhh.
I know they made a movie about building the atomic bomb, but come on, let’s get to the real movie, the making of the coffee machine.
