If you had told me five years ago I’d be someone who sits on the front porch watching the rain I would have laughed
and laughed
and laughed…
But here we are. Day four of 68 degrees and rainy. People drive by and I just sit here sipping my coffee like we got nowhere to be.
Next week my area will resume mimicking the properties of Satan’s armpit and I’ll return to hiding in my air conditioning but for now let’s just listen to the rain and enjoy the coolness.
sitting on the porch sounds perfect

Appreciating the little things is getting me through the summer crunch time.

It’s important, especially when the big things go sideways.

I’m jealous – you have a porch you can sit out on! Oh, and the rain – I love the rainy days. 🙂

I prefer the deck as it faces a wooded area instead of an intersection 😂 but dry seating trumps the view. Naps on rainy days reach a special level of excellence.
