No matter your personal stance on gun ownership and the second amendment, we can agree that the status quo isn’t working out, right? We’ve tried doing nothing. Tried it for over twenty years now. Kept hoping and praying that things would change. It’s time to try something different.
Pledge to do one thing this week. Everybody can handle just one thing.
“Because it’s not your child’s school yet. But your child’s school could be next.
When Columbine happened, the children who were killed in Parkland weren’t even born yet. When Sandy Hook happened, the people in Parkland didn’t think it would happen at their school one day too. When Las Vegas happened, they didn’t think, “We’re next.” “
My friends seem to think that if there is any tightening of the gun laws, any restriction of any kind of gun, they will end up losing all of their guns. My friends make my heart hurt. I think my friends are not using their brains to their fullest capacity. I think this country has an unhealthy romance with guns. My heart weeps.

Yes. YES. All of what you’ve said and then some.
I really have tried but can’t seem to wrap my head around the “they’ll take all of our guns” argument. No one’s said that. Nobody who is advocating gun legislation, anyway.
